The Outdoor Sportsman
WHO ARE WE OUR CHALLENGE Just ask a mountain climber what it feels like to reach a frozen pinnacle, with only his hands and a rope. Ask a bowhunter what it is like to take a trophy Buck at 20 yards with just a primitive weapon. Or how about asking a deep sea fisherman what it is like to battle a 350 pound Blue Marlin for hours and hours with a mere rod and reel. They will all tell you that it is about the challenge. Whether it's man against nature or man against beast, there is simply no way to describe the feeling that the Outdoor Sportsman has when they finally overcome their challenge. Our challenge here at the Outdoor Sportsman is to help you to have the same indescribable experience as you overcome your challenge. We simply love the outdoors as much as you do! Our Safety Tips 1. Be a law abiding Outdoor Sportsman. Make sure to always follow all of your local, state, and federal rules and regulations 2. Be a prepared Outdoor Sportsman. Being prepared for such things as sudden weather changes, terrain, and even the climate of the area you will be in, can be crucial to your safety or even survival! Be prepared for your particular activity with the proper equipment and plenty of provisions (food, water, clothing, first-aid etc.). As a rule of thumb, we at the outdoor sportsman believe that you should add a days worth of provision for every two days you plan to be in the outdoors. This could 3. Be a trackable Outdoor Sportsman. What we mean by this is you should always let someone know where you are planning to go, how long you plan to be gone, and when to expect your return. No one can predict such things as equipment failure or natural disasters, so letting others know of your intentions can mean the difference between having the experience of your life, or a life and death experience. Our Goal We here at the outdoor Sportsman believe that everyone should be able to experience the fun and thrill of the outdoors. But with out the proper guidance, for most people this can be a difficult or even impossible task. So our goal is to help everyone, everywhere to experience what it is to be an Outdoor Sportsman. |
